Coaching for Conservation (C4C)
Coaching for Conservation is the primary social development program of the BPCT. Focused on primary school children, our goal is to make sport synonymous with healthy lifestyles by linking messages of conservation to the already popular pastime of football. The core message is Respect Yourself, Respect Each Other, and Respect Your EnvironmentFor more information, please view our Coaching for Conservation page.

Domestic Dog Disease Control Program
MAWSThrough collaboration with the Maun Animal Welfare Association (MAWS), this project aims to control the spread of disease from domestic dogs to free ranging large carnivore species. It is a disease study, vaccination and large-scale spraying and neutering program based in the rural villages that border the Delta's wildlife protected areas.

Shorobe Livestock Insurance Initiative
BPCT is piloting an innovative program that will address conflicts between large carnivores and livestock as well as tackle issues surrounding human-wildlife conflicts. Through a grant from National Geographic's Big Cat Initiative, we are working with communities to address herd health, rangeland management, livestock protection and compensation. We are pioneering an insurance program that will be managed by the community: Participants will be investors and will confirm or deny claims by community members. A similar initiative was developed with some success in Maasailand, in Kenya.
